The Board appoints the Executive Director, someone who is responsible for day to day the operations of John Maclean Foundation.

Kim Beavis

Kim’s background is IT Marketing. Her strengths are designing and implementing marketing processes and programs.

Kim discovered John’s story through her husband, who had attended one of John’s very motivational speaking engagements. He arrived home, signed book in hand, inspired to participate in a triathlon. A few years later, after a season of short ‘sprint’ distance triathlons, he went on to finish his first of many Ironman events.

Although Kim has never participated in a triathlon event, she has an appreciation of what it takes, i.e.the never ending juggling act and how much one has to give up, to be involved with extraordinary events. She also understands that at times it can be difficult for these individuals to stay motivated to achieve their goal.

Her mission is to continually inspire and encourage JMF supporters to embark on remarkable personal journeys, and make JMF as easy as possible to raise funds for. This will mean JMF Fundraisers will:

• have more time to concentrate on their family, training and work;
• stay motivated get out of bed, to train, on dark, cold, wet mornings.

Achieving their goal not only impacts the Fundraiser’s personal life, but greatly impacts the hopes and dreams of Australia's young wheelies.
