John Maclean Foundation - Help us chase our dreams:

Meet Archie

Archie is a four-year-old boy who lives in Melbourne with his parents, his brother and his sister.

Archie experiences severe spastic quadriplegia and athetosis. Archie’s cerebral palsy means that he requires assistance with all of his movements including rolling, sitting, up, coming up to stand, standing and walking. Archie also has difficulties swallowing and is at risk of aspiration and chest infections if his head is not appropriately supported with his eating.

The John Maclean Foundation purchased Archie a second skin compression suit that assists with his eating, muscle growth and development and remedial needs. The suit, which covers his whole body is a specialist piece of equipment costing in excess of $2,000 and is replaced regularly in order to accommodate Archie’s growth and muscle development.
