John Maclean Foundation - Help us chase our dreams:

Meet Alaecia

The John Maclean Foundation has come to the assistance of Melbourne's Alaecia Lawtey who presents with cerebral palsy – spastic quadriplegia. She is unable to sit or stand without significant support. Before the aid of JMF she moved around on the floor by ‘bunny hopping’,  which meant her mobility was restricted to short distances indoors. As she grew taller and heavier, it became more and more difficult for Aleacia’s parents to lift, hold and carry her. Alaecia and her family attended the official presentation evening  at the Urban Hotel in St Kilda, 9th February where they were presented with funds for a new Commode/Shower Chair and Manual Wheelchair. Alaecia can now complete the simple day to day things a lot easier and both Alaecia and her family enjoys the freedom and ability of moving around outdoor with ease and comfort.
